Itinerary
DAY 01: CUSCO – LARES VALLEY – HOT SPRINGS – WACAHUASI
At 06:00 am a private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel to go out to the Sacred Valley. This section of our trip is by bus for approximately 3 hours, during which we can see some archeological sites, Andean markets, small villages. From this point (4480 masl) we will descend to the Lares Valley (3,200 m.). When we reach the natural hot springs of Lares we can enjoy the hot baths and then have our first lunch. In this place we will also meet our horsemen in charge of carrying our camping equipment. After our lunch, we will start our climb for approximately 4 hours until our first camp (Wacahuasi Village 3900 masl). When we arrive at our camp we will visit families who will teach us their customs and traditions.

DAY 02: WACAHUASI – WACAHUASI PASS – MANTTANAY
This day we will wake up early 6:00 am and start our walk around 7:00 am, after a nutritious breakfast. This day will be the longest and hardest.. For approximately 4 hours the road will ascend to the highest point of Wacahuasi mountain (4500 masl). From this place we will begin to descend for 1 hour until the lunch spot called Aurora CCocha (4200 masl). After our lunch we will begin to trek for 3 hours to our camp called Manttanay (4000 masl). This day along our way we will be able to see many llamas, alpacas and farming sites of the High Andean peoples.

DAY 03: MANTTANAY – YANAHUARA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
This day we will wake up at 06:30 am and start our walk around 07:30 am after a delicious breakfast. This day will be easy, as our path will be downhill for 4 hours to the town of Huanahuara (2900 masl) where our bus will be waiting to go to the town of Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo we take our train for approximately one hour and forty-five minutes to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hostal. On this section of our journey we will be able to see trees and endemic bushes of the Andes, plus some birds of this area.

DAY 04: GUIDED VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
This day we will wake up very early at 04:00 am and head to the bus station to be the first in line (we will wait in this place for 1 hour and a half) and then we will take the first bus that leaves at 05:30 am to Machupicchu. Arriving at Machupicchu early (06:00 am), we will pass the main control of this site where we show our original passports. After entering we go to the highest part of the site and appreciate the sunrise, plus have the famous postcard view of Machupicchu without many crowds and get incredible photos of the site. The guided tour in this place will be approximately 2 hours, after which you will have free time to explore and take photos of this enigmatic wonder of the world. After visiting Machupicchu we go to the bus station that is 2 minutes from the main control of Machupicchu, return to the town of Aguas Calientes and have lunch. Then we go to the train station and travel for 1 hour and 45 minutes by train. At the station of Ollantaytambo our bus awaits us and takes us to the city of Cusco directly to the hotel.
