Communities we Support

HMT is excited to bring work to the Andean communities around Cusco. We have visited and developed long relationships with many people from communities like Cuncani and Wacahuasi in the high mountains. On treks, our custom is to bring bread to the children of the communities we pass through. At Christmas, we bring food and drink to friends of ours in these villages who are impoverished. We encourage our travelers to visit and learn from villagers on whose farms we stay during the nights on our treks. We work toward establishing helpful connections and giving business to the Andean people.
